Urgency

There are many situations when you, as the referee, must show a sense of urgency. When there is a red card offence, you will want to get there to stop a possible flare-up. When there is a mass confrontation, your urgency is needed. Your presence can sometimes calm the situation down.

Another situation where you need to show your urgency is when there is a serious injury. You will want to get to the injured player quickly so you can get the needed assistance for them. The earlier you get to the injured player, the sooner you can get the athletic trainer.
